Hello everyone.

I just bought a beat-up T100. It still has a good heart, and that's all I'm looking for. However, I do want to take care of it, so here goes:

1. How do I tell whether it's a DX or DX 1-ton? Will the body have the badges stating that it's a 1-ton?

2. On tirerack.com, it says that there where 2 tires sizes available: 215/75 or 235/75. The truck has some 225/75s in really bad shape, so I don't know which one is the right size to use.

3. What type of fluid does the axle take?

4. Anything to consider when I replace the timing belt? Is it like a Honda where you should replace the water pump while you're down there?

Thanks in advance, everyone!

What year is it? What engine?

If it is a 93 or 94 and the VIN has a D10 after the JT4V (JT4VD10xxxxxxxxxx). It is a one ton. Call a toyota dealer with your VIN and they can tell you what model it is.

Tires are up to you. All three sizes will fit fine. It all comes down to which tire and price that you like and are willing to pay.

Rear differential oil is API GL-5 SAE 90 hypoid gear oil unless you live in subzero temps(below 0 degrees F) then it is 80w 90 hypoid oil.

When you change the timming belt it is a good idea to change the water pump. Good luck.
