Planned XRunner Install

OK I'm pretty sure this is the route I'm going now. Been doing a hell of alot of research and this is where I'm at.

I might go with a different screen and computer, still doing some research.

A midrange driver will handle frequencies like vocals, a midbass will handle drum beats etc.

midbass 80Hz to 315Hz
midrange 315hz to 4KHz

Give or take an octave

I'm probably going to go to the BBQ Marv is having and have him take all the measurements while I'm there.

The 10.4" screen should just fit into the opening where the stock CD player, the computer will probably be built into the amp/clrossover rack.

It's defintiely going to be a challenge. but I have alot of room to work with.

^is the w18-001 (e018) 7 inch speaker better then the one u want to get. is it the bigger the speaker is the more midrange u will get? how much power can i handle? damm man ur really getting me excited with doing my system:D

also on the third link the midbass speaker ur getting says subwoffer on the link not midbass?

I'll be doing the deadening myself, and sound proofing myself. I'm going to try and build some kicks, we'll see how that turns out.

The enclosure/amp rack will be built by Marv.

I'll be installing the 8's myself in the door's using mdf adapters made by Marv.

I'm going to build the computer, and install the 10" monitor as well.

Once I have everything installed, I'll probably be getting some help in fine tuning the system from npdang of www.diymobileaudio.com

Right now I'm trying to get the amps I need and the computer parts.

In the next few day's I'll be doing the sound proofing.

Definitely let you check it out when I'm done. Probably a good 6 months from now though.

Don't know where npdang resides, I am ordering the speakers from him though.

The link's a PDF, you might have 56k, anyways they have a nom rms rating at 70 w rms @ 8 ohms.

Now are you talking about going with a 3 way setup or 2 way.

:lol: IMO its not that bad, but then again I use to work as a installer.

The hardest part is finding the correct wires. Especially if you don't know where to look for them.

Another thing is positive and negative triggers. If you don't know what the difference is, good luck.

Having a print out of the wire locations and colors helps. But sometimes the print out is wrong, so you end up having to find the correct wire.

Knowing how to use a DMM is a must.
