This is about my 88 4runner. It normally starts right away. Last week, it started taking a while to start. I have to crank the engine over for like 10 seconds before it starts. It cranks plenty fast, by the way. Whats the problem?

I have an 88 4runner, with the 3.0v6. There is an electrical plug that plugs into the right (passenger) side of the intake plenum. What is that for? I was once told it was an extra fuel injecter.
Its a black plug, if that helps.

Cold-start inejctor.
Take it out and clean it.
If you don't get an answer here, try yotatech, or customtacos.

Cold-start injector.
This is the Camry version of your 3.Slow. With DOHC and an extar 40-50hp. Mind the differances in appearance, but this is what it looks like.

Feel free to make use of the Toyota Trucks forum, as this isn't really hardcore. Tho not your fault (you didn't know what a cold start injector was) This is probably your cranking problem, and the posts should be combined. :)
