Hello, every one...

Recently I got a low price 1992 Land Cruiser, of course it got several details, one of this is a Sound like "axle clank" when it shift from "P" to "R" or "D" and this sound come from the transfer box, Is this sound normal? or it represent a potential issue in the tranfer?

Any advice is welcome.

I would check the u-joints as a possible cause of the "clank." A failure in one of them, especially the front, could be serious.

What kind of Land Cruiser, FJ80 or FZJ80? High or low range? Does the noise come from the Tcase or axles?

Its probably just the tranny taking up the slack in the driveshaft.
Its normal to hear a "clunk" when going in D or R. There is usually a 1/4 to a 1/2 turn of the driveshaft that is freeplay.
