Does any one run the Yoko Geolandar ATs? Are they good tires? They look pretty similar to BFG ATs in that they're agressive but not huge knobby. Any one know an average price?

The Bridgeston Revo's seem to be hugely popular, especially with their great rain traction.
Just remember that when you switch to these more aggressive AT tires you will lose 1-2 MPG.
btw the BFG Rugged Trail tire that is stock on the Taco's got absolutely horrible reviews on tirerack, they seem to be OEM on many trucks and very few people said they would replace with the same tire. jedi 07-12-2005, 12:34 PM I've had the Rugged Trails on other trucks besides my taco. I never had a problem with them. I wouldnt put them in the same class as bfg ATs or other ATs though. They're not as aggressive.
So is 6/19 bad? seems low. kpagel 07-12-2005, 01:03 PM You plan on offroading? What sort of terrain? The moment the Yokos touch a rocky terrain, they're toast. The rocks simply eat them up. Other than that they're great tires, and only go for about $100 each at tirerack.com for 265/75/16 kpagel 07-12-2005, 01:04 PM BTW, that is my personal experience. My tires were torn up after a trip out to Hodge Road near Barstow, Ca. Same thing happened with my buddy's Yokos a year later. They don't do well on rocks. Prc329 07-12-2005, 01:06 PM I can vouche for the Revos. They are very, very nice tires. Had mine for almost 700 miles now. mwebber78 07-12-2005, 05:37 PM I had Yoko Geolander's as stock tires on my AWD Subaru I had before my new truck. They had horrible treadwear and were prone to hydroplane after only 15K miles. Just my opinion but read some reviews on them - they are only "ok" tires. | |
