It will have tie-down hooks on the outside of the bed.
Technically, any Toyota truck that isnt a Tacoma is a Hilux. Its just that instead of calling it the "Toyota Hilux" they called it the "Toyota Truck".

That would make the T-100 a Hilux?

Any COMPACT Toyota Pickup truck that isn't a Tacoma is probably a better description. Otherwise, a Tundra would fit that description as well.

I copied & pasted the info:

"What does "Hilux" mean?

Aparrently it means "High Luxury", although the name was first given to the Hilux pickup - I own one of these and I find it hard to believe the term "Luxury" could ever have been used to descibe it! "

-AdamYes and no. The chassis and body are the same, but the American ones got different engines. Toyota offered a diesel for a short time in the US, but they dont offer it currently. The diesel has been offered elsewhere for decades.
So yes, its technically a Hilux, but no because it has different specs that are more suited to the North American market.

yea, tell me about it. Its not bad enough that PA has some of the worst roads ive ever saw, but i jsut got new Skyjacker Nitro8000 shocks to replace the HARD, old Ranchos, and the truck still rides hard enough to hurt me dads back if he rides with me. i guess its just the the short wheelbase and the way the suspension's set up. Theres this one bump in York city where if im accelerating just right, the back wheels will jump off the ground for a second and spin in the air. ;) lol
