TRDMole177 10-07-2002, 10:51 PM do you know about their security? like if they have any? smokey8890 10-08-2002, 12:30 AM the buttons comes off  but it stills looks like a dvd rpj1984 10-08-2002, 12:49 PM Smokey..your Pioneer broke? What did u do to that unit :( ..i have had my Pioneer cd player for over a year and it had never failed on me..and many other people speak volumes for Pioneer poroducts..i say go with Pioneer but that is just my opinion ryan smokey8890 10-09-2002, 07:50 AM i just don't understand. I went through 4 diffrent tapedeck/cd player from pioneer and all of them worked like a champ. but i had alot of problems with there indash dvd. the motor on those things just don't hold up. DrtySthV6SE 10-09-2002, 10:38 AM i wanted to get the Premier mainly because it has a two year warrenty rather than a one year. i say Pioneer (premier) is badass  Edit but i have only had it for like a month so... CamrySpeaksJL 11-07-2002, 10:01 PM Eclipses faces aren't removable, most are pass-through, except for the very top-level one, and the security is very good. you have to put a cd in, and the deck reads it, changes the length of the cd into a code, and then stores it. when you secure the deck, you have to put the cd into the deck to be able to use it. if the wrong cd gets entered 3 times or something, it locks down and you have to take it to a dealer to get it reactivated. basically its impossible to steal if you dont know what cd was put in for the code. hope this helps. CamrySpeaksJL 11-07-2002, 10:04 PM other than that, i dunno. Alpines have the best specs i have found yet. surprisingly better than eclipse in a few areas (important ones! (THD, etc.)) but its all up to you. just go out and listen to a bunch of decks on the same speaks and amp and see which one sounds the best to you. thats the only true way to find the perfect deck. | |
