drunken_panda 09-09-2005, 10:01 PM I don't like it. My Step Dad has an 04 and I like the more agressive front on it. Looks kinda like the Mazda 5 and Civic all in one.
91MR2quickNA 09-09-2005, 10:52 PM Ew, it looks like a Prius wrapped in a minivan package now. :ugh3:
LunarMist 09-10-2005, 04:15 AM I like it but as drunken_panda stated, I loved the agressive front-end styling much much more. That was actually the highlight of the Sienna. Now it looks like they went back in time about five years to what the Sienna should have looked like in 2000/2001...all rounded and crap. Bad move Toyota.
On a plus side I LOVE the headlights!
Bakemono 09-10-2005, 12:16 PM I liked the older styling too, but Id bet the new Sienna gets better gas milage because of how much sleeker it is.
Id take that one over the boxy minivans that GM and Ford are building these days.
Cap'n
Tideland Prius 09-10-2005, 12:35 PM Looks like the current Civic front end in the last picture. It looked okay in other pics that I've seen but in these, it seems they tried to make it rounder and well, it's a bit too round.
Avalonman 09-10-2005, 02:13 PM It reminds me of the new Odessy
bB626 09-10-2005, 03:26 PM New Power-Folding Outside Mirrors? sweet! they are being like JDM lol!
Avalonman 09-10-2005, 04:11 PM There is no XLE Limited. Just Limited.
CE LE XLE Limited
(2006)
CE LE XLE XLW Limited
(2003.5)
And those wheels make the CE look cheap
nodrogkam 09-10-2005, 10:29 PM There is no XLE Limited. Just Limited.
CE LE XLE Limited
(2006)
CE LE XLE XLW Limited
(2003.5)
And those wheels make the CE look cheap
hahah the CE is cheap! and by making it look so it would make people like you and me want to upgrade! goodness their marketing department is just l33t.
Perry 09-11-2005, 12:38 AM the front looks like a Mazda5 to me
dsmnick 09-11-2005, 03:23 AM I don't like it that much...the headlights are too big and the front end is awkwardly proportioned. It's a very "safe" looking minivan.
HoboJoe 09-11-2005, 04:05 AM Those headlights are beastly!(As in huge)
And I like it.(As in compared to other minivans on the market)
Avalonman 09-11-2005, 01:18 PM Well, they better watch out for the 06' Kia Sedona
(How ever you spell it) 240 hp!!!!!!
Tideland Prius 09-11-2005, 02:17 PM only 240hp? good luck:D That Sedona is heavy as hell.
Avalonman 09-11-2005, 05:16 PM You bet, 240 HP
Tideland Prius 09-11-2005, 05:41 PM Hmm, but that won't match the Sienna in 0-60 (I know, i know it doesn't matter in a minivan but it does mean that with a full load, it won't be sluggish) or the towing capacity.
Avalonman 09-11-2005, 06:44 PM hehe
84Cressida 09-11-2005, 07:33 PM Meh, it looks alright, but it's a minivan.
drunken_panda 09-11-2005, 11:21 PM My stepdad hsa an 04. It is nice. Comfy ride, powerful engine, quite. The interior is flexible. My dad has a 92 Previa. Personally I would pick the Previa. I like the driving position better, it lacks power, but man oh man is it great. I would drive a S/C Alltrac Previa if the gas milage was a little better and I could find one. It has so much character. I am 19 if anyone questions my decision.
nodrogkam 09-12-2005, 08:51 AM the previa was good but it sure wasnt safe.
AvalonMan96 09-12-2005, 10:38 AM I like it, though the bumper looks a little too large to me. Still looks better than the Odyssey and Quest, though.
And am I the only one who doesn't see the point in Toyota offering a "Limited" model? The XLE should be enough. I feel this way about the new Avalon, too.
A pic of the "new" rear end. Notice the more circular definitions in the taillights:
http://i.tnpv.us/2005/WKA200509/WKA2005090945782_pv.jpg
FDFL3131 09-12-2005, 11:50 AM its pretty ugly
drunken_panda 09-12-2005, 11:53 AM Again with the soft image. I liked the old rear because it had angles and looked more agressive. The only mid updates that I have taken issue with is the 3.5 Camry because of the rear and the 2.5 Sienna. And to a lesser degree the 1.5 Tundra.
What is up with Toyota not offering a Tape player on their cars anymore? I don't use it, but now the head unit looks to spartan, almost after thoughtish.
Avalonman 09-12-2005, 02:29 PM  Is that an LE with rear sensors? Its about time
Trainman 09-16-2005, 01:18 AM  Is that an LE with rear sensors? Its about time
And the CE wheel covers off our 04!
Avalonman 09-16-2005, 11:29 AM Wooooooow
xpeed 09-16-2005, 01:04 PM Hey, I'd hit it. I like that new round contour on the front end. But that's me because I design cars with round bumpers and all. :D
Avalonman 09-16-2005, 04:59 PM Hey, can you make a body kit for my Camry? 2002 LE
:thanks:

3.8L V6 w/ 244hp, just as much as the Honda Odyssey, but do they really need a really big engine to produce that much horsepower, it is also really heavy. The Odyssey is the fastest, then Sienna, then the Quest. I am not sure about the new Sedona.
The back looks like the Rio
Avalonman 09-28-2005, 01:48 PM Toyota is making the Sienna look like a Lexus on the Exterior, and on the interior, it looks like a regular Toyota.
Well, except for the new optitron meters, 3rd row power folding seats, power folding mirrors, front and rear obstacle sensors, and the ride. Lexy!
nice sleek headlights, all in all good 'face lift', however it does remind me of the new civic or Mazda5 front design

lexusis350 10-07-2005, 11:47 AM Nice pics, These pics are really nice. Now i like how the 2006 Sienna looks. Toyota and Lexus have bad photo galleries that make the car look boring and not as nice. The front looks smooth and has nice styling.
i think sienna has got very powerful engine.tanx for your pic
Avalonman 10-07-2005, 12:40 PM Anytime
TbombsGen3 10-08-2005, 06:06 PM the Sienna doesnt have a 3.8 L engine.....its 3.3 w/215 hp.
we like the changes here at the dealership, and most of the response has been positive. Of all model changes between 05-06, the Sienna has by far the most.
TRDcrazy 10-09-2005, 10:46 AM he was talking about the kia sedona when he said 3.8L V6
Avalonman 10-09-2005, 01:26 PM The sienna is going to become the slowest Minivan when the new sedona comes out. But, the 2007 year is going to have 270!
HoboJoe 10-09-2005, 02:27 PM Yeah, but the sedona is freakin heavy!
lexusis350 10-09-2005, 02:57 PM Are you kiddn me? The Sienna is the second fastest van (versus 2004 Odyssey). First is the Odyssey and Third is the Quest. (Last i heard) I Think numbers have changed.
2005 Sienna - 8.4 (3.3 V6)
2005 Odyssey - 8.7 (3.5 V6)
2005 Quest - 8.9 (3.5 V6)
2005 Sedona - 9.8 (3.5 V6)
(MotorWeek)
Tideland Prius 10-10-2005, 01:30 AM I saw an 06 Sienna on the road (budget car rental. Who knew the had Toyota cars?)
It was in the blue colour shown above in this page. It looked okay in real life and not as comical as we first thought when we saw the pictures. The headlight covers do protude out quite a bit.
aznstylez 10-10-2005, 10:33 PM Guyz,
don't you ever looked at how curvy women's body are, well some of them. now compare it to the Sienna, now, which one do you like better. Hahaha...I think Toyota were thinking for the women since minivans are basiclly made for women anyways. Women likes curves also. http://smileys.smileycentral.com/cat/10/10_1_103v.gif (http://www.smileycentral.com/?partner=ZSzeb001_ZNxmk121YYUS)
aznstylez 10-10-2005, 10:57 PM At www.Carpoint.com (http://www.carpoint.com/):
http://fp.images.autos.msn.com/images/spacers/spacer.gif
2004 Sienna(230hp)(The fastest and most powerful)
0 - 60 Time=8.27
1/4 Mile Time=16.608
2005 Honda Odyssey(255hp) (The fastest and most powerful)
http://fp.images.autos.msn.com/images/spacers/spacer.gif0 - 60 Time=8.32
1/4 Mile Time=16.5987
So are those true numbers? The 2006 Sienna and Odyssey are gonna lose some power:
2006 Toyota Sienna:
Front-Wheel Drive Trims

lexusis350 10-11-2005, 05:04 PM The Horsepower Rating has changed and will affect most if not all Japanese Cars.
They are still the same engines from last year unless they got refreshed or redesigned. Even with the new SAE Net HP rating, Toyota and Honda will still be one of the fastest vans.

TOYOTA CARS 10-13-2005, 04:43 PM In other words, the 215 hp Sienna will still get to 60 in 8.3 Seconds.
drunken_panda 10-13-2005, 05:17 PM Does anyone know how they added an AUX in? Is it the same hed unit with a tap in the CD changer port?
Tideland Prius 10-13-2005, 08:15 PM In other words, the 215 hp Sienna will still get to 60 in 8.3 Seconds.
Yes, this new standards by no means lowers performance. Technically, you've been getting 215 all along.
msm20032003 05-10-2006, 09:28 PM Did they kill the rear spolier on 2006 Limited models?
hiace24 05-10-2006, 11:16 PM Nice but i still like the estima better and the estima is available in hybrid.
