My T-100 is a '93, V-6,4x4 with 85kmiles. The last couple of years I've noticed that the oil pressure drops to midway between the bottom peg and the first mark at idle when it's warmed up.Is this normal? It may have done this since new and I've just noticed it lately.
In just the last couple of weeks, the MT has been occasionally kicking back out of 3rd gear. Any idea what the problem is?

My '95 Manual trans 3.4L V-6 w/72,000 mi runs at just above the quarter mark at normal speeds and between zero and halfway to the quarter point at idle. I didn't notice this when I bought the truck 1000mi ago so needless to say I was very concerned. Changed the oil/filter and that seemed to improve things a bit but still very low on the indicating dial. My friend is on his second T100 and both exhibited the same oil pressure levels. The first went to 150k before he sold it and the second is up to 100 k, both with no problems. There seems to be other reports of this low pressure indication on the net so it appears that this is either the norm or commonplace for this Toyato model V6. In any case I'm going to put a manual gage on the engine to see if its the oil pump or the sending/unit gage .

Regarding the MT third gear popping out, check out the clutch bracket and the shift bushings before you rebuild the tranny ( check out 'T100 MT shifts hard' thread).
