So after lots of research i just finally dove in a did the install.
First off, when you use the scosche wire harness it will automatically bypass the jbl amp. You do not need to tap/cut into any speaker wires. All you need to do is connect the sosche harness to a prewired harness that's connected under the head unit. This will be explained during the install.

Finished Product:

You will need these two parts:
Headunit (avn5510)

Scosche Dash Kit: link

Scosche Toyota Wire Harness: link

Tutorial:
Step 1: Remove Stock Headunit
Remove Climate controls by prying the buttom corners. It is held on by serveral clips. Then remove the the radio trim by pulling back on the bottom corners then the top. There are 4 10mm bolts unit the headunit in place. Remove those along with the wire harness pluged into the back of the headunit.

Step 2: Locate harnesses
Find the two harnesses that you will be working with. Pictures of them are shown below (the other one is benieth). Unplug those. The right side goes to the JBL amp, the left side goes to the the speakers and provides power. These two harness fits the scosche plugs perfectly.

Step 3: Make the conjoined wire harness
Take the wire harnesses that the headunit came with along with the 2 scosche harnesses that you purchased. Take your soldering iron or butt connectors and match up the wires. There are several wires that you will not need. (such as the blue wire that connects to an amp, and the mute button, unless you're installing bluetooth).

Step 4. Connect the vss wire.
The vss wire can be found on the clock harness. Simply find the right wire (purple/white) and tap into it.

Step 5: Connect the reverse wire.
Find the reverse wire. The wire could be found near the fuse panel. It is the Red/black wire.

Step 6: Mount antenna
Mount the antenna somewhere. I mounted mine right behind the mirror and ran the wire across the headliner, and down the a pillar.

Step 7: Connect all the harnesses and put everything back together.

Hope this helps people that are thining about adding a headunit to their jbl standard camry.

to hook up the vss to the purple/white wire. Can you see/locate this wire when the head unit is out or is it located somewhere else in the vehicle.

Also did you need an antenna(radio) adapter or does it plug right into the eclipse unit.

thx
