I have looked up about just every part but is the exhaust the same set up for the celica and is it possible for me to do a transmission swap from an automatic camry trans to a celica manual trans. Basically will all the parts from a celica bolt up to the camrys 2.2 Leater engine? turbo intake manifold, pistons, exhaust, transmission

How to drive sensibly

1. Stay "close" to the speed limit. In most locales it's not practical to drive the speed limit. You run into an effect I call the "CK Curve" effect.

Hopefully this posts. If not or if you're more curious please see...

http://www.fhwa.dot.gov/publications...speedincidence

2. Realize that Stupidity is considerable. Many folks do not think before they do things. Some folks put their brains on "auto pilot" and refuse to think at all.

3. People who are stupid do not realize that they are stupid.

4. Assuming the worst is a good way to make the worst happen. If you expect someone to act dumb and try to preempt it you are likely to inspire them to be stupid.

5. Some people are clueless, complacent or selfish. You're not going to change them.

I despise the behavior of riding in the left lane. I think that it's lazy and foolish. All I've noticed is that I get upset. Those who do it don't feel a thing.

6. In the end you can't really influence anyone but yourself.

Since I've given up trying to stay ahead of the stupid/clueless people I am more calm and happy.

I save a lot of money. My gas consumption rate decreased from 31 miles per gallon to roughly 38 to 42 miles per gallon. That's a considerable amount of savings, about a 22 to 35 percent improvement in gas mileage. I've also correspondingly reduced tire wire and power train wear.

The amount of time that I spend on a commute slightly increased, by about ten minutes per trip. To me the time savings were not worth the aggravation and risk of a speeding ticket.

I've reduced the likelihood of a speeding ticket. I've reduced the likelihood of having a wreck. I've reduced the likelihood of having a fist fight/gun battle with other angry drivers.

The amount of aggression that I have when I get to work has dropped dramatically. I feel a lot better these days at work. I don't lash out at people.

People do not believe that I have changed my ways. I don't care all that much. I know what I've done.

NC Department of Justice VehComplaintID 1197
False advertising complaint filed 8-19-2011 with the North Carolina Dept of Justice against Mark Jacobson Toyota of Durham NC and Toyota USA Attached to complaint was Title application showing Prius III, screen shot of Google search for VIN showing the car advertised as a Prius III and the sales contract.

Mark Jacobson Toyota of Durham NC is engaged in ongoing false advertising. On their website they claim to guarantee complete customer satisfaction which is not true. My case alone is proof of that.

On 6-25-2011 I was sold a 2011 Toyota Prius II that was stated by the sales person and everyone involved to be a Prius III for $29714.40 A few days later I discovered it to only be a Prius 2 even though they even stated Prius III on the title documentation.

I have a web printout of a Google search of the VIN that shows them advertising it as a Prius III. While not denying their false advertising they only offered to roll back the deal. That was unacceptable to us because of the time and effort in securing financing and that there were no other low mileage Prius models available.

The dealership was well aware of the time and energy we had spent obtaining financing and they were aware that there were no low mileage or new Prius cars available so they knew that their offer to roll back the deal would not be acceptable.

To establish that an advertisement is false, a plaintiff must prove five things: (1) a false statement of fact has been made about the advertiser's own or another person's goods, services, or commercial activity; (2) the statement either deceives or has the potential to deceive a substantial portion of its targeted audience; (3) the deception is also likely to affect the purchasing decisions of its audience; (4) the advertising involves goods or services in interstate commerce; and (5) the deception has either resulted in or is likely to result in injury to the plaintiff. The most heavily weighed factor is the advertisement's potential to injure a customer. The injury is usually attributed to money the consumer lost through a purchase that would not have been made had the advertisement not been misleading. False statements can be defined in two ways: those that are false on their face and those that are implicitly false.

I believe that Mark Jacobson Toyota in Durham NC has met all 5 legal criteria for false advertising both in the matter of their fraudulent guarantee of complete customer satisfaction AND in the matter of deceiving me with my purchase.

I was enticed to spend more money than I had intended in part because I was told that I was buying a Prius III. It was only after the purchase that I discovered the internet advertising that also made the false claim.

I would like to add Toyota USA to this complaint as they knowingly allow false advertising

While my Toyota was in the shop I rented a Nissan Verso.

I'm not even sure about the year this vehicle. It didn't have head side airbags so I expect it was before 2009. I just drove it.

Opinions - The car had many more "gadgets" than my 2008 Toyota but not as many as a typical American car.

Among other things -

- Electronic door locks went to lock at 20Km/hr. Whatever....

- There is an electronic Overdrive button. I wanted a stick but all they had were ATs.

- All electric door locks.

- Electric windows.

The car had AC and a CD player.

Other Impressions - The car handled well. Acceleration is fair. The brakes were "grabby" compared to my Toyota. The car seems more powerful than my Toyota, less effort to reach certain speeds.

Fuel efficiency was very good. I drove 150 miles to consume a third of the tank by gas gauge. It's probably comparable to my Toyota, 32 to 40 MPG.

I checked out the engine compartment - like my Toyota it has ample "breathing room" under the hood.

I prefer my Toyota. It's more compact than a Verso. I would buy a Verso.

..the environment.

The people who don't know me was well as some of my most close confidants might construe what I do to be environmentally friendly. If you know me, then you know my main motivation is money. The friends will see what I do and then figure how how it relates to cost savings.

Now on the face of the things I do, it looks like I'm being a good person in the environmental sense (did I say that right?). Bullshit, it saves money it just happens to look good. In this PC, do it for the environment, make an American feel bad for being who he is, lets not offend anyone, the gov'ment knows how to spend your money better world, I'm saying I did it because it just made sense. I don't say anything because people will think what they will and I don't care that they didn't realize that "it was the money, stupid."

I turn off the lights when I leave the room because it's cheaper on the bill. The A/C isn't on because it's 80 degrees and I don't feel like paying for the 10 degree difference. Cans and bottles get recycled because I want my damn 5 cents back. Your cans and bottles get recycled by me because I want your 5 cents in my pocket. I drive 55 not because Carter was right (which he may have been on this part)...but because it saves me gas at the pump. I can go on...

What I am saying is that there doesn't need to be such a division. Many daily concerns are actually common to both sides of the aisle. For this post, I'll just stick to the environment. Whether you're doing it for the future children of China or India or to stay off of foreign oil, it's the same damn difference. **China or India because those of us here in America who advocate doing things for the future children tend not to be the ones who have children or have very few children. **

Either side is so busy spiting (-ing ending for spite?) one another that they don't see the commonality?

So yes, I do things which are good for the environment because it saves me money and what is wrong with that?
