93 toyota camry fuel problem

I have a 1993 Toyota Camry and I have a problem with the fuel injection system. I drive it and it starts to misfire and smoke, One would think head gasket but it does not smell like coolant it smells like gas. One time I was letting it idle in my driveway (which is on a slant) and gas pored out of the tailpipe. My name is Debra and I have a question for anyone that can help me. I have a 2001 Toyota Celica GT liftback. I had my engine rebuilt in February of this year. The car had 174,154 miles on it. They rebuilt the engine and I had to take it back three times. The car is an automatic.
