Now that I've given that little intro.... I've been eying the tC for quite some time now. I like to design, the style, the look. My question is this: Is it possible to change out (or add to) the right suspension components to allow the FWD tC to handle more like a RWD vehicle?

The other day a guy from my work told me that he would sell me a 2005 tC with about 85,000 miles on it for only $4,000! He also told me that he paid $10,000 for it last year. I think it sounds extremely shady. Does anyone with a carfax want to look up the vin? It's JTKDE177150036971. Thanks!

Hi, I am a new member in hopes to getting some insight from the Scion community before buying a tC. I am currently shopping for a used 06-08 model and found a relatively good deal on a 08 model near the Denver area with about 49k miles on it. Here is a link to some pictures of the model:

Hi, I am a new member in hopes to getting some insight from the Scion community before buying a tC. I am currently shopping for a used 06-08 model and found a relatively good deal on a 08 model near the Denver area with about 49k miles on it. Here is a link to some pictures of the model:

http://www.cars.com/go/search/detail/photos/multiPhotoPopup.jsp?paId=137651757&tracktype=usedc c&aff=national#1

I had recently test driven the car and felt very satisfied with the experience. Aside from basic wear and tear (aged engine oil, dirty air filter, worn tires), the car felt great. It has a fairly clean record from carfax too.

My only concern was with the after market springs installed to lower the car. Although it makes the car look more aggressive, I think it might be the cause of the unusually worn tires. Has anyone had problems with lowered springs causing worn out tires? Is there anything else I should be looking for before buying a used tC?
