Hey guys,
I have been searching google like crazy hoping to find some info. to wire a tach. in a 2000 Tundra v6. This truck doesn't have a tach on the instrument cluster, while my buddy is towing his boat he wants to know what rpm's he is at.

So i know we need a crank signal, ground and headlight power. But, I can't find a wiring diagram for this particular year and model to show us which wires we should tap into.

Any help would be great. I'm very surprised that I can't find this info. I would think more people would have done this.

My name is bob, I've had a 97 t100 for 4 years, which I've promised to my son if he keeps on the honor roll. Now my wife and I are downsizing our family van and love the toyota so much we just bought a 05 4 door tundra. Just got it and on the way home my wife said the tire pressure light came on. I searched the forum and saw some info on some other toyota's but not a tundra. Any thing specific I should look for? thanks bob

Hey Everybody,

I had the opportunity to take one of these trucks out for the weekend a couple months ago, and now I'm thinking about buying one. For what I need out of a truck right now, this generation Tundra had it. What I would like to know are some of the problems that owners have faced in 100K+ miles of ownership. All replies will be appreciated.

Thank You

hello all,

im in the market for new tires, and i was hoping to draw from your experiences.

i have an '03 4wd with a V8. i dont typically haul alot of weight in the bed, but i do tow a decent sized cargo trailer from time to time. mostly on road, with some fairly mild weekend warrior adventures in the dirt and snow from dec-mar.

im looking at different brands and tread patterns, but my biggest concern is longevity. i have a set of bfg ats 285/75r16 with about 70K on them, which is 30k more than the bfg rugged trails they replaced. ive really been impressed with them all around, quiet, ok off road performance while not giving up much on the street. but what amazed me is the miles ive gotten out of them.

id like something with a little more off road performance (i wish they still made the last gen bfg mud terrains) but that will most likely result in quicker wear on the street. ive been eyeing the yokohama geolander mt and the goodyear duratrac, leaning more towards the duratrac because they are stud-ready.

what have you all had good and bad experiences with?

thanks,
jack

ps, forgive me if this thread is a repeat, when i search, it brings up a blank page

ps2, has anyone ordered tires from a site like tirerack or tirecrawler? the bfg ats are about $100 per tire cheaper than from my local tire chain, which makes me wonder if theyre old or dry rotted or warped or something...
