Great little car I have owned since 1998. It's been good to me but I am tired of adding oil every week. There has been a persistent oil drip since 1998 which cause embarassment. the good news is that the oil got changed about once a month since 1998. I tried the oil pan thing...that wasnt it. Wasnt the valve cover either. Its on the back of the engine not visible. I would love to just yank the beast out and whoop its ass for whooping mine for the past 9 years.
Its got around 300k miles. Spedometer cable broke a few years ago. No hesitation going down the road. This thing still screams. Has a sunroof that works. Hood has bubble on it from holes on the under side of the hood. Front end is aligned but doesnt respond well to pot holes or bumps. Probably needs struts or springs or both.
Things that i have replaced since 1998:
- Timing belt 2x
- radiator
- air intake hose
- distributor
- water pump (needlessly) (damn catalytic converter..)
- passenger inner tie rod end
- passenger transaxle 2x
- coil
- starter 2x
- alternator 2 times
- ignition switch
- clutch
oh yeah..front struts too.
