Seems to be a whole different mentality over there. There's no reason this site can't do/be the same in that regard.

Once again, if you don't like the thread/post , you think it's stupid, redundant or beneath you, just don't reply. No one is forcing you.
Someone else who is more tolerant will come along and try to answer/help and you can just go on your grumpy way and not let it bother you. No need to get pissy

It's easiest to pick on the noobs that's why we do it! Now I have learned that I will pick on them, and THEN offer them some good advice! I figure it works if they ask a retarded question

a lot of the posts that i read here make me mad, because people are just plain lazy. read some, try to find the info you need, rather than just being like a baby and expecting it to be spoonfed to you.
and there are some jerks on the forum, but there are a lot of incredible stupid posts and incredibly stupid posters...
|
Wow dude calm down! You obviously didn't read the part where I said that I did not mind doing a search if I needed to. Now that I know that's what I should do before posting a thread, I'll do that.
Seems like you spend way to much time on here... You know what....from now on how about you just ignore my posts. If you don't want help anybody just don't respond. Thx.

I would not recommend that. Great way to seek out infractions and a temp ban.

Again, good advice to follow. If everyone will cooperate with this and allow a little time to pass, it'll get better.

The only way this will work is by cracking down on every infraction. There shouldn't be part time enforcement of the rules. Doesn't matter if it's someone who has been here for years or someone that joined today.

I find this interesting. Just wha,t or who is a noob? I am a noob here, my first Toyota. But I am a very experienced technician. So, far from a noob.
Next of all, and to me the most important. Just what is a forum about? We like to share information and chat. It is all about give and take!
Even though I am new here I always try and share my experience and give links.
Nobody ever asked me a stupid question. But alas I have taken the time to give stupid answers!
Happy driving all

Noob, Newb, Newbie, Noobie= New at posting on Toyota Nation.
You're exactly right about what the purpose of this forum is. So many subjects/ proceedures/info has already been covered/discussed. All we ask is to look for the info before posting. You may find what you're lookin' for or not-in which case, ask away.

With all respect I see members that are nothing but flamers. They have 1000's of posts. I would call them noobs. I do understand the context of the word. I was just trying to make a point about useful content. An I try to be useful.
To me a noob is a person that does not take the time to grow and understand. That spends the time laughing or flaming others.
Sorry for the misunderstanding sir
And please check my posts sir and you will see my intention here
Happy driving

Agree with you 100%.. Something we Mods have been trying to discourage. Not and easy task. The effort continues..
I've only seen a few of your posts-always helpfull, considerate, polite and constructive. Believe me when I say, we (TN and the Mods) appreciate you.
