if you do have a differential, then the fluid is filled from a filler hole above and near the back of the drain hole. what i do is use a plastic tube and stick one end in the filler hole and pour fluid from the other end until fluid starts dripping from the hole and then cap the plug back.
i think it is safe to change it every 60k since it doesn't get that dirty.

For the V4 the drain is separate from the filler and they have a picture of an actual engine showing that. (OK I agree based on the postings on the website)
HOWEVER on the V6 they show a figure of a differential and show a separate drain and fill tube. OK, I was convinced that the V6 2000 had a separate differential drain but where did the filler come from. Isn't the ATF for the differential filled from the dipstick?.
Thanks

o nah, apologize for the confusion. you have a separate drain plug for the differential (17mm bolt) and for the transmission (10mm allen). the differential on my 99 camry is right behind the tranny pan.
the transmission is filled through the dipstick while the differential is filled through the filler hole I mentioned before.
