2007 Lexus ES

I know these pics are old. But i wonder if the next ES will be the 350 (Edmunds claims it to be a 330) I like the dual exhausts and it looks much bigger. But these pics look like a Camry.

I can picture the back, i can't picture the front.
Chances are, it'll be the 350. I'm not sure what Toyota's gonna do with the 3.3 litre 3MZ-FE.

have you guys forgotten that the camry and the lexus ES are just about the same car, just like the lexus LX and the landcruiser, so of course that the ES has got to look a lot like the '07 camry, and i also hope that the ES gets the 3.5 cause from what i've heard the camry is gonna get a slightly detuned version of the avalon's 3.5

No, that's where you're slightly wrong pavelTRD. The ES is actually a different car that shares the same chassis as the Camry in Japan. Only the ES gets a bigger engine but the design and dimensions are slightly different, but nevertheless, you should consider it the Camry of Lexus.

The Camry chassis is the same, whether it's built in Japan or the U.S. The ES is a Camry with Lexus styling, comforts, and conveniences. It's also Lexus' only FWD vehicle.

i think that my post about the ES was a lil missunderstood, all i'm saying is that the camry and the ES share a lot of components like chassis and some styling like you guys said, so that's why i asy that the ES and the camry have always look a lil like each other

The Lexus ES should get the 3.5L engine, the IS has it and it costs around $36,000 and is not far off from the current ES pricing w/ packages.

The ES will HAVE to get the 3.5L 2GR, because the Avalon is stealing sales from it. Currently, the Avalon is on pace to sell around 95,000 units this year, which is a marked improvement over the last generation Avalon. The ES, meanwhile, is losing sales over the previous year and is on track to sell nearly 67,000 units. Not good news for Lexus' best selling car.
Look for the ES350's horsepower and torque ratings to be slightly higher than the Toyota counterparts. It seems Toyota tests Toyota branded cars with regular fuel and Lexus branded cars with premium fuel. Check out the specifications for the current ES330, and you'll see the marketing genius behind this. Compare the ratings to the Camry SE V6 with the same 3.3L, and you'll get an idea of what I'm getting at.

dunno if it's the camry or ES, but the front looks very similar to the Infiniti M35/45...
