Seafoam on Gen 3 v6

Hi.. I am doing some research on how to do seafoam with gen3 v6 (3vzfe).

I found a link that clearly show how to do it on 5sfe. Is it the same way on the v6??

i saw the youtube video, the guy did it throught the brake vacuum line, through the check valve, i heard it is not good for the check valve, i have my check valve replaced, i am wondering if mine was damaged by similar chemical, but when check valve fail, it is very nasty, lost brake, or has to push the padel very hard to stop the car initially.

I wouldn't do it through any valve. Any hose that goes directly into the intake manifold will work...all that matters is that you bypass any sensors. If all else fails, just remove everything up to the throttle body and pour it slowly into the TB. You won't hurt anything running without a filter for such a short time as long as you don't do it in a sandstorm or something.

Well, when I seafoamed my camry; I did it through the brake booster line which is what that kid used in the video. It's been about a year now and I haven't had a problems so I would think its alright.

5SFE
1MZFE
2AZFE (2 different ones)

Seafoam is not going to clean out your TB...just to let you know.

If you wanted your TB cleaned... There is a product called CRC Throttle Body Cleaner spray.

lol my video keeps coming back again and again
since Ive done that ive had no problems of that sort with that engine and I see the new owner driving it around all the time with no problems

Now when it comes to the 300zx, it gets a little trickier with two TB's
I have to build a small circuit of tubing with a "T" in it to equally dispense the Seafoam into both sides of the engine.
Also I cant do it through the brake line since it would only benifit one side of the engine.
I havent seafoamed my new engine and I dont think I will since I'm more skeptical it might screw around with my injectors, but ill have to read up more about it.

As for the 5s-fe, just giver through the brake booster

WELL I have just done it this afternoon, no much smoke coming out as expected cos I just changed my engine. But the engine do rev little bit smoother after the sea foam. I have also put it through gas tank as well. I will try to put some in the crank case when I need to change my engine oil. So far I don't have any problems with the car or engine.

Since i was satisfied with the results, I went to do it with my dad's civic as well. wow..holy shit.. smoke coming out created "a big white cloud" LOL

.. It does take longer time to get ride of all the smoke too. I will let my dad to drive it tmr and ask him if he feels any differences. Then I will know if the seafoam works. Cause he didn't know I seafoam his car... lol

Well... my dad told me he feels a little bit smoother on his civic after the seafoam too, but only very little. If anyone of you are going to seafoam your car, don't expect too much. I will put 1 bottle in gas tank and 1/3 in crank case when I have my next oil change. I will post some updates later

To be honest I'm scared to put it through that line on my Gen 4. Does it give a similar reaction if put through the gas tank? I will have to get some and let my brother help me out with it.
