Gen6 Official "Pictures of the TRD Exhaust for the Gen 6 V6 Camry" Thread

After waiting for several months (actually placed the order on February 19, 2008), I was able to pull some strings with some people that I knew within Toyota and got the approval to have the first TRD Exhaust for the Gen 6 V6 Camry delivered to me. Despite all the rumors that people have been spreading all over TN and also what I had been told from Toyota directly, it is actually a full Cat Back Exhaust System. The piping is made out of a very solid stainless steel and measures 65mm where it connects to the catalytic converter that gradually moves down to 55mm where it splits to go to each muffler. The welds are absolutely gorgeous and what appears to be a resonator of some sort right behind the catalytic converter on the factory piping is eliminated with the upper piping of the TRD Exhaust. You will also notice that the exhaust tips are angled which allows them to flow perfectly with the angle of the SE lip kit exhaust openings. It comes with the necessary hardware/instructions and was packaged incredibly well. I am 100% pleased with the purchase and cannot wait to install it. I will post installation pictures along with a sound clip in the upcoming weeks. Now onto the pictures....

I wonder how this compares to the Tanabe Medallion exhaust setups.

If you want dual exhaust and can pay a little more $$$$, the V6 should fit.

I honestly do not know why they pushed the tip down there and welded it. The tip is already welded to the exhaust piping on the inside so it might just be extra sturdiness. You will not even notice it when it is installed so I am not worried about it.

I do not have any information about the I4 TRD Exhaust.

Finally!!!!!!! That looks great. Welding looks great as well. Going to have to place my order in as well. $921 for a cat back sounds good to me. Thanks for sharing the pix bro. Look forward to seeing it on your V6 Cam.

The exhaust looks good, but it looks like its still got pea shooters int he tips... seems like the real pipe in the tip is a fair bit smaller than the actually exhaust piping...
