Manual Hub hardware

So I'm planning on switching my beast from ADD to manual hubs. I've learned that finding parts in this part of Mass is next to impossible so I'm tracking stuff down back home in VT. What I need to know is when I do the swap do I need manual hub hardware (ie cone washers, bolts, etc) or do I simply need the hubs themselves? I know its real simple swap just need to know what parts are necessary because I'm not driving 2 1/2 hours home for a few damn bolts I should have grabbed in the first place.

I think all you do is bolt the Aisin manual hubs right on there, but I may be wrong about that.

Yup all you need is the hubs. You will have all the necessary hardware from your existing hub plate thingys already on your truck. It takes less than an hour and you'll probably be happy with the results. My truck gained about 1 MPG and went down the road much more quietly. Good luck

Defeating the ADD system requires more than just replacing the drive flange with a manual hub.

Also, you need manual hubs from an IFS (86+) truck.
Hubs from an 85 or older will not fit, although they look the same.

Thanks for all the reply's. I'm waiting on a couple calls from some junkyards near home to see what they have but if I can't find anything I might be talkin to you greypickup.

Who said anything about "defeating" the ADD system. Nothing's broken on it I just want the advantages on manual hubs (less wear on cv boots, better mileage). The swap really is as simple as replacing the driva flanges with manual hubs. What they describe is if they want it to work like a normal 4wd system. By swapping the hubs once locked in they would function just as they did before the swap the only difference is there would now be 3 points of disconnect in the front drive system (t-case, front axle, hubs). I don't see why I can't just swap the hubs, anyone else have any insight on this or am I just talking out of my ass?

i've got the entire front end off of my truck for my sas...so if you need any other parts related to front 4wd i pretty much have everything

I did the exact thing you want to do. I got a set of aisin hubs for free(aisin hubs from any 86-95 trucks/4runners will work) from a fella when I bought some other parts from him. I rebuilt them and installed them. I also did it again on my ol' ladys 4runner. Took me about an hour to rebuid and install them. I have not changed the ADD system at all. It all still functions fine.

All you need is the hub itself. Has to be a aisin hub, warns won't work without a kit.

All the parts you need are already on your truck, when you are done you will have two flanges and two gold caps with no home
