i have a 1985 toyota corolla SR5 for sale. the car is completely original and is in great shape. has a brand new long block engine, clutch and tires. the car itself has 146k miles. runs great and great mpg. the new engine is the same 1.6L DOHC engine that originally came in it. the body is in great shape; never been wrecked. no dents or dings anywhere on it. the paint is fading on the trunk lid other than that the paint is in good shape. the interior is exceptional with only minor wear.
SOLD.

I think this is the same Corolla I looked at last month. Vlad recently bought it from another guy. I looked at it when it was for sale. That guy wanted $1800 for it. I don't know what vlad paid for it, but I feel it's been marked up... reasonable thing to do to make a profit.
To be fair... I will let all know the problems I found when I looked at it. The radiator will need to replaced eventually. The carb was not installed properly so it won't get the great gas mileage you'd expect. There was a slight exhaust leak. The AC wasn't cold. The driver door was hard to close, because it wouldn't line up with the clip where the lock goes in. The interior was clean... but extremely dry. If my memory serves me well, the dash was cracked. The right rear interior panel was dried out and severly torn. The seats slid back and forth roughly. The trunk was leaking. The rear windshield gasket might need to be replaced and the tail lights definitely need new gaskets. The body was straight... except for a rust spot behind the license plate that was the size of the quarter. It drove well... but the brakes might need work. I looked at it in the rain.
Just be ready to expect this in case you are not local. I already have a Corolla and didn't feel the need the spend that much on another one.
Vlad... good luck with the sale. It's a pretty solid body on the car.

well sir you have a good memory. i tuned the carb myself after buying it and also fixed the door so it shuts flush, aswell as conditioned the seats after buying it. as for all the other minor issues with the car i think you're a bit too maticulous. its an 85' model and its a good clean car. and you would be hard up to find another corolla in the shape this 1 is in. you should have jumped on it when you had the chance and the guy who bought it from me will be very pleased with it years to come. so thanks, have a good day.
