I just brought my second T100, a '96 2WD with 150K miles. I wish I never got rid of my '97 five years ago. If you want to maintain your factory ride, find a spindle lift kit or do a body. If all you want is to raise the front end 2", you can do it by cranking the torsion bars about 4 turns, but I would only recommend half that for 1" because if you crank the torison bars too much (2" or more), it will stiffen the ride and the stock torsion bars can't handle much more than 2" without need an after market A-Arm. On my '97, I attempted to raise my truck 3.5" with a beefed up aftermarket torision bar and much bigger control A-Arms from Fabtech and I hated it. I used an added a lift spring in the rear to raise it 1 1/2" to level the truck out. It looked like a 4X4 but the ride was a little harsh, not bad necessarily, but I really like the stock ride. With my '96 I just got, I turned the stock t-bars two full turns on each side to raise the truck about an inch. It's near level but still has a slight dip, but the factory ride is not affected. After lifting an F150 with ProComp's 3" spindle lift and 2" blocks in the rear, that's the only way I would do a full lift on any 2WD to keep the factory ride. I know several guys that want to raise the front only 2-3" to level their truck out will go with a Daystar front end spacer to is not supposed to affect the ride. I don't know if Daystar makes the spacer for our truck but you can check their website by doing a search for Daystar suspension products.
Good luck.
