Got new wheels on your 2012? - 18's, 19's, 20's ?

I'm looking for wheels for my 2012 SE, but can't decide on what to get. Seems like 19" is the size I like the look of, Highlander, MRR HR2's.
If you've upgraded your wheels, post up a pic!

20x8 Lexani's, I couldnt tell you what off-set they are as I bought them used from a friend. The tires are 255-35-20 yokahama's. There is about a half inch gap from tire to strut but tread is at about 50%. Seems to me that the 2012 have a tad bit more wheel well space than previous gen. These same rims rubbed a bit on my old gen 6 whereas on the gen 7 they dont.

As much as I dont think this stupid comment deserved any criticism, I couldnt resist. I agree they are not the prettiest rims on the planet. I got them dirt cheap and they look 100 times better than hubcaps. But to say that they went out of style in the 90's is ridiculous. You come of sounding snobby and childish. But none the less, I am happy that you can feel better about yourself after seeing a picture of something inferior to your "style".

I'm not a big fun of chrome wheels too, especially 19 or 20's.
I prefer to have comfortable and quiet ride, so wheels bigger than 17" out of picture.
I got 17" Avalon wheels and 225/55/17 tires on my LE. these wheels just 1/2" taller than stock 205/65/16 and do not fill up wheel arches up to my standards.
there is plenty of room for bigger tires, so I probably will get bit bigger tires in the future but will keep 17" wheels.

I think GS wheels will look perfect on new camry and I believe there is 18 and 19" lexus wheels.

I have been looking for some ideas and some pictures of wheels on our 7th gens but haven't been able to see what they look like because the car is so new. The only picture I've ever seen of the '12 with wheels was the aforementioned Lexani's which, aren't really my style. I'm looking for something clean, in a 5 spoke design, 20" to go with coilovers, personally. Something like these Vossens...

Sorry for using your tread, but I don’t want to open another one just for one question.
I tried to find info on 012 Camry wheel offset, but even dealer can’t give sure answer yet.
I got Avalon wheels (17x7, 45 offset) on my LE car –perfect fit.
But couple days ago I noticed that looks like these wheels seating bit deeper than OEM 16” steel rims and same Avalon wheels on gen 6 camry. Even with 225/55/17 tires wheels looks seating deeper than they should and wheel gap is bigger than it should be too.
Walking on the dealer lot I noticed that 17” XLE and 18” SE wheels look seating more out vs 16” steel, 16” LE and 17” SE wheels.
Is it just optical illusion or shape of the fenders? did someone else noticed something similar and 012 Camry wheels got different offset for different OEM wheels?

Your rims that you removed from the car may have the offset listed on the inner side. And the offset will vary from wheel to wheel because of the difference in width and diameter. The stock 17x7"s that came on my SE are most likely +45 or +48. They aren't anywhere near flush. I would guess that we can fit a 8.5" wheel with a +35 offset without major modifications. But, that is a pure guess, just based on what I've seen other cars handle. I have no idea what the inside of the wheel wells look like. Might hit shocks or struts with that offset and width?

only size (16x6.5) listed on my OEM rims. I tried to look for offset on the cars parked on dealers lot, but couldn't see anything.
if my avalon wheels would have offset 35 they would look more flash.
to me looks like SE 18" wheels and 17" XLE wheels offset is at least 40 or 35, these wheels look more flash than other OEM 012 camry wheels.

I'm having trouble finding exactly what I want (only looking for 17 IN). My ideal wheel is a gloss black 7 spoke wheel with a mirror face, spokes need some heft to them, not interested in all the thin spokes that seems to be popular these days. To see the kind of black on black look I want you can go the TSW Confugurator and select a black Camry and the Black Zolder 5.

However, the Zolder is a lot of thin spokes and as I already said I would prefer to have less and thicker spokes.

The TSW Londrina would be almost perfect but it doesn't come in black, just chrome or gunmetal. http://www.tsw.com/alloy_wheels_londrina.php I don't want to deal with the trouble and expense of buying them and getting them refinished.

If I abandon my search for the right black wheel and go chrome, then it will likely be the TSW Lodrina or Vortex. http://www.tsw.com/alloy_wheels_vortex.php Here again the chrome wheel I liked the best was a discontinued wheel on TSW site, The Heaven 7 with the Devine 9 a close 2nd. http://www.tsw.com/productline_classic.php

All of the current TSW wheels I mentioned are available on the configurator. I would have posted finished pictures but the conf doesn't save as a picture properly (the car's there with white circles for where the rims go).

The guy that's been helping me at Les Scwhab says new wheels are coming out in mid March so I may just wait.

Trust me, I have looked at thousands of wheels from dozens of mfgs, but I'm trying like hell not to settle. I have to live with whatever I buy for a long time.

Wow, those Vortex are sexy as hell! Even though I know on the pic its the 2011 model, and I have two sets of 18 Inch rims for my Camry already, I might pick up those Vortex still.

Nice, even though the roads where I live aren't bad, they aren't great everywhere either. I go from the smoothest road ever to a random one with a new pothole that wasn't there last time at least once a month. For that reason, I stayed in the 18" both times I bought rims. Now that I know how to handle with them better I will either use the current 18's I have for awhile but the following summer will upgrade to 19". I want to believe the ride on those 20's is smooth, but I know better, but I will admit that it looks pretty damn awesome!

Gotta love those TSW Wheels as they are the best quality I have ever purchased! :chug:

Hey jrscamry, do you have any pics of those wheels that show's the offset and where the wheels sit? I'm very interested in what they look like, from the angles you showed, the wheels look awesome man. I'm personally not a big fan of having a different manufacturer factory wheels, but most people may not be able to pick that up. How does the car feel with the 19's? I have a four banger too and have been very concerned with getting a wheel that will be too heavy. Those wheels are made by Rays so they're supposed to be pretty light.

This is the only other picture i have at the moment. I dont have any pics showing how they sit in the wheel wells but they sit flush with the fenders. This was only a test fit, these wheels came straight off my G35 that i just sold and I was planning on selling them but they look good on the Camry. the rears are very close to the rear strut so im getting smaller tires for the back if i dont sell them soon. and yes they are very light
