Hello, Hello ? About T100S

Hey People !
I Will Be In The Market For A T-100 In The Next Few Months . . .
I Already Have A Factory Paintjob And Dual Exhausts Planned . . .

HOWEVER, I Was Wondering .. . .. .. . ..

Are There Different Gens? Of The Factory Trucks, Which Has The Strongest Motor (W/O TRD Or Superchargers) ?

I Want To Make This Vehicle Last Well Past It's Expected Date . . .

So I Have A Timing Chain / Water Pump Re-Do Also Scheduled . . .

Aside From Low Miles, And Service Records . . .

What Else Should I Look For ?

I Really Appreciate Input !

- Thanks

There have been a couple of threads discussing the T100 the last couple of weeks. Do a search on "T100" to find answers on part of your questions. The 3.0l V6s use a timing belt, not a chain. I think the 3.4l engines do also. I would do a timing belt replacement based on the manufacturer's mileage recommendation. Unless the water pump (or other parts) show problems, you are probably wasting your time and money with early replacement. Look for the usual things recommended in a used car purchase. No disrespect intended, but a used vehicle not driven by a younger driver and not significantly modified from stock will probably outlast one that was.
