I've got a '96 t100 4x4 xtra cab. Anyone out there know where I might find a factory shop manual for this sucker?

I am not sure of the level of detail you looking for in a manual, but the Haynes' manual is pretty good with detailed instructions and illustrations. I am no mechanic, but I have been able to install lift kits and perform other suspension work, modify exhaust systems, install e' fans, install T-Bars, work on throttle bodies, install stereo components by using the Haynes' manual that's available at almost any automotive store.

Good to know about your luck with Haynes. I know Chilton/Haynes each have their proponents...

I'm sure your Toyota dealer could get you a copy.

I know this thread is ancient

I know this thread is older than the dinosaurs... but I also have a 96 4x4 and would like a factory manual... I didnt see the need to make a new thread when this exact one existed. Goggle has been no help...I guess im being cheap..I am looking for a download of the manual.

Here's a link to FSM's for some other toyotas, including some with the 5vzfe engine. Might be helpful for some work.

One of these days I'll scan my FSM and post it for yall...

I bought a used Factory Service Manual a few years ago off ebay for about $50. I believe the stealership charges several hundred dollars for a new version. Chilton & Haynes are OK for basic stuff, but a lot of times the diagrams and descriptions don't actually match the truck!
