Is the Celica still there? I doubt it, but it was still on Canada's website even after it was removed from the U.S. site.

No '06 Celica for the US. Supposedly the new 250-hp Scion TC is going to be the next-generation Celica.
I guess that in Japan it will be called the "Celica" and that here in the US it will be the TC.
I noticed that some of the '06s are up too. The other day I was playing around pricing out a Tundra and I noticed that the top of the mock invoice it said "2006 Tundra".

Canada Waiting for '06 Highlander and 4Runner

I'm waiting to see the 2006 Highlander to see if there may be some minor changes to it. I realize that the big change may come in 2007. The lease on my 2002 Highlander is up in March and I'll likely get another one. I saw the picture of the 2006 4Runner on the Toyota website but unfortunately my inability to read Japanese made surfiing a little difficult. I don't see the need for that little fender mirror. I've managed quite well with those little stick-on mirrors. I can forsee that fender mirror being the first thing to be vandalized!

I doubt there's any. In the Price Your Toyota section, you can only get the hybrid for 2006. I'm guessing the Highlander Hybrid will be used as a bridging gap until they come out with a new one.

Celica is indeed cancelled in Canada for 2006 (as per my local dealer), but still listed on Toyota.ca as a 2005 model...

A lot of cars in Japan have the fender mirror. The streets in Japan are a lot more crowded than the ones in the US and Canada.

am the proud owner of a new 06 4runner. It is all that! I bought the v8 2wd for towing my camper, it has plenty of low end torque and a 5 spd auto tranny.

It also has an on demand LSD or limited slip differential, havent got to play with this yet but plan to go off road real soon.

If I was thinking I would have gotten them to throw in some floor mats as it does not come standard.

One neat thing is that the cd changer plays MP3 discs, so tons of music on one disc.

Really? Where did you get that info? More specific, I know that the Celica is being discontinued, well at least under that name, now TC, at least for America. I know that Scion offers a supercharger that puts the TC's hp at 200, but I didn't hear anything about 250hp!! That will be awesome!

Link please?? FYI, Celica brand is being discontinued all over the world so there will not be another Celica. Toyota has no plans of bringing back a model that just got discontinued globally. Toyota will also not cross brand a car between Scion and Toyota. They are both independent companies.

FYI, the Celica nameplate has not been discontinued all over the world. It has only been discontinued in NA. I am not sure about Europe but in Japan they are selling 2006's. After that I have no idea.
