A disturbing scene.......
Ok... I was "passing by" the Toyota dealership as usual and I saw something very disturbing.
It rained here a few days ago and the cars were dirty.
One guy was hosing the cars off and one guy was WIPING them dry. A SIMPLE HOSE OFF and a quick WIPE................. AOUCH...... AAA OO U UU CCCHHHH.............. Brand new cars......................... BRAND NEW CARS.........
No...... no.... no......... u just can't do that........... no ..... no.........
Not without a proper handwash............
And I was complaining about paint swirls in my 01 Corolla that I bought used..........
I AM NEVER EVER buying a car off the lot. I have always special ordered and told dealer not to touch the car when delivered and that is what I shall do in the future.........
Any time I buy a car (if used), for example, I always ask the PRIVATE OWNER for his car washing habits first...
and if it is a dealer, and if I like the car.... I beg them NOT TO Detail the car for me as I will do it myself.............
When my cars go in for service, I request them not to wash it as COURTESY and once they did in the middle of winter when I hadn't had the chance to hand wash. I went to pick up the car and it was shinning and I threw a fit......... The whole dealership was taught a lesson that day and they got to know me very well.......
My heart goes out to the new TOYOTAS who's pain job life was taken away from them before they even learned to drive......

Wow.. you're pretty anal.. I can understand being anal about a car you haven't drove yet.. but your own car.. shit.. they courtesy wash my car in the winter and I'd be like.. Thanks! you saved me $10.. sure they don't do it properly, I mean if you're gonna wash someone's car, do it right or don't do it at all.

Wow. I don't know how my dealership's cars stay clean but I do see them wash the car with soap. They even have a detailing place on the lot where the cars get washed and the wheels polished before delivery. (and a car wash after a long service)

That's hilarious man. You actually bitched about the wash? Well, on the other hand, I don't blame you. It is an investment (the car) so why not keep it looking premium? Meanwhile, did you get an apology from the manager or somebody high up?
"We're extremely sorry for washing your car."
The guy who had to wash and dry it was probably fired... That'll teach HIM to be nice.. Take that!!! lol

Did you talk like Judge Judy with PMS and a bad hairday? That's all I'm asking
I give the Camry a $10 touchless car wash once a month and the paint still shines. A little water isn't going to kill a car. In fact, salt, mud, road grime and New England winters are much worse than water.
