Could it be? '07 Toyota Supra
Could this be the return of a true Toyota sportscar?

Well, that link claims they are announcing it at the Tokyo auto show in October, so we shall soon find out.
I just hope that if Toyota does use the name, "Supra" that it lives up to the reputation that name has. I would hate for Toyota to go the route of GM. Ford and Dodge and ruin the great names of the old days by putting them on 4-door sedans (Charger, Impala, Malibu, Thunderbird, Cougar, ect).

they wont, there have been tons of threads on this topic. What we will see is a toned down LFA i think. they need something to fill the mr2 void
Tons of threads with people who have no inside information as to weather or not they will bring back the Supra.
We have numerous acounts of semi-credible sources such as this article from Edmunds that says it will be back. On the flipside we have i think SmokingTiresV6 who swears that it will never be back.

The Thunderbird and Cougar have never been 4-door sedans (except a short run in the late 60s for the T-bird). Impala was always GM's large, mainstream car, so the name is fitting. And yes, it came in sedan models in the 60s. Same with the Malibu. The only one I don't agree with is the Charger, because like you said, the car was always a two-door sport coupe and it would be the equivalent of Ford making a 4-door Mustang. But, despite the two extra doors, the Charger is a quick and exciting package for the price.

Actually, the Cougar did come in a 4-door sedan, once during the late-70s and a smaller version in the early-80s.

They should bring the Chaser over here. I love that thing! The Supra shouldn't come back. The name means shit, it's the car. Call it a Fronkey Shlonkey, it still hauls ass. So, fuck the name and let the legacy of Supra remain. Start over with something new. They should bring the damn Caldina... ohhhh, so nice They should also get that LF-A concept's engine into a nice little Corolla XXRS or something
