Anyone else notice that when you roll the window down a few inches it rattles? Well mine did anyways.
To fix it, it is really easy and effective.
First get some 3M Double Sided foam tape.
Now roll your window down and take off the triangle sail panel cover. Be sure to take off the white clips afterwards because if you try to put the sail panel cover back on with the clips still in the door, they will fall into the door.
Now once you have the sail panel cover off, on the other side where the rubber weatherstripping is, push that out some and place a layer or two of double sided tape on the back part of the sail panel between the rubber and the back of the sail panel.
By doing this you are pushing out that rubber weatherstripping a little bit, and it will put more pressure against the window.
Once you put the sail panel cover back on you can't even notice you did modifications.
No more rattles.

Sweet! I just might do this. I noticed it for the first time real bad on a road trip i just came back from. It isnt to noticeable on mine at lower speeds. But over 80 it was pretty bad. It also seemed that only my front driver window does it.
This rattle is the main reason i wanted to get those ventshades, thinking maybe itd take some turbulence off the windows when they're cracked.

Yeah man, it feels much more solid now.
I still have a crapload of rattles and squeeks/buzzes though.
You soon will have all my noises too But no worries, I'll fix them all and make like a list of how to fix them all.
^LoL I got some... that damn ticking from the engine is the worst!!!! I also got some squeaking coming from my rear suspension area. Not exactly sure why or how it started, but its annoying. Like it needs a lube or the bushings are going bad. Got a fix for that yet?
I'll be searching for that thread about someone saying the ticking had to with the oil filter, and how to get the maint req light off tomorrow
^ ya thats what i figured. Ima take it into the dealer later this week. My mechanic friend who used to work for toyota said they may have upgrades for em already... who knows. But it better get fixed and under warranty.
Mine squeaks more at low speeds then anything tho..or maybe i dont notice it while rolling. But just rocking the car back and forth you can hear it. It sucks. MAkes the car sound old already.
lol..i thought you had to adjust some screw just above the "door cliker" for lack of the right word ...the locking mechanism.
but maybe it's just in the generation before the lastest.
....i had an 03 taco and when i had the windows all the way down, when i went to slam the door shut, the window would rattle while inside of the door...after some tinkering, i found that there was this screw that happend to be loose so i tighten it to just "snugness" and the rattling went away.

Actually, go outside and take your fist and hit the side of the truck. Do you hear squeeking? If so, you'll have to have the dealer replace the skirts because the rods on them break. They just got done doing the left and right front skirts and now the rear is doing it. It's a shitty design and I'm going to have to reenforce them somehow, becasue they are going to break again. Guess what the bill was to have the two skirts fixed-700 BUCKS!! THe skirts come unpainted so they needed to be sent out to get painted. After the 36K mile warranty I'm fuked.
Your problem could be the notorious leaf spring squeek, or it can also be the sway bar bushings. If it's the swaybar bushings, I'd reccomend replacing them with EnergySuspension Regreasable Swaybar Bushings.
