Here is what I did to solve the locking problem for the Bed Storage Doors.
Taking a key with me is not possible when I'm in the water.

Do you think the combi lock will hold up to the weather long term?
Only time will tell. My truck was in a heavy downpour and I thought that maybe I should remove the bed storage doors just in case the locks start to rust. But after the rain I took them out and inspected the lock mechanism and everything was perfect. But here in southern CA we don't get that much rain.
In Oregon or other heavy weather states it would probably be best to remove the doors if they started to show signs of weather damage.
At $10.77 I'm not to worried.
Best regards!
