Front door handles:
1) Open the door and remove the black plastic plug on the door jamb.
2) Loosen the gold colored Torx fastener that is behind the plug, by using a #30 Torx bit. The Torx fastener will not come out completely, or fall into the door, because it has a retainer clip which holds it in place.
3) You should now be able the pull the lock mechanism out.
4) Carefully take a small flat screw driver and pry the plastic lock cover off.
5) Slide the front part of the handle back and out.
6) Insert the new door handle into the opening of the door, slide it forward, and into position.
7) Snap the new lock cover onto the lock mechanism.
8) Insert the lock mechanism into the door, and tighten the Torx fastener (not too tight).
9) Front door handle swap complete!
Rear door handles (requires removing the door panels):
1) Open the door and remove the three Torx fasteners on the door jamb (#30 Torx bit), that hold the door latch mechanism in place.
2) Use a medium Phillips screw driver to remove the screw that is at the bottom of the door pull.
3) Use a small screw driver to open the small plastic "flap" behind the inside door handle.
4) Use a medium Phillips screw driver to remove the screw that is behind the "flap".
5) Remove the black plastic plate that is located at the top, back edge of the window frame. This can be done by lifting one edge, and gently pulling, until the white plastic clips release.
6) Carefully remove the white plastic clips from the window frame, and snap them onto the black plastic plate.
7) Slide a stiff putty knife (or door panel tool) under the bottom edge of the door panel. Gently lift up to pop each door panel fastener loose. Move the over and repeat the process until all fasteners on the bottom and sides of the door panel have been removed.
8) Carefully remove the plastic anchor fastener by slightly pushing in the center button, then lifting the outer ring. These fasteners will break if you pull on them without depressing the center.
9) Lift the door panel up and out of the window channel.
10) Peel the top corner of plastic sheeting near the latch mechanism back. You can use a razor blade or Xacto knife to split/separate the black adhesive from the plastic.
11) Reach into the door, push the latch mechanism toward the outside of the door and pull it back into the door frame, to expose the Torx fastener that retains that back door handle "cap".
12) Carefully use a #30 Torx bit, extension, and ratchet to loosen the gold colored Torx fastener (don't drop the Torx bit in the door). The Torx fastener will not come out completely, or fall into the door, because it has a retainer clip which holds it in place.
13) Pull on the main door handle, then gently use a small flathead screwdriver to pop the door handle "cap" out of the door.
14) Slide the front part of the handle back and out.
15) Insert the new door handle into the opening of the door, slide it forward, and into position.
16) Snap the door handle "cap" into the door, and tighten the Torx fastener (not too tight).
17) Re-attach the latch mechanism, re-seal the plastic sheet, and attach door handle & black plastic plate in reverse order of above steps.
18) Rear door handle swap complete!
