Good Bye Spectre Hello K&n **2007 V6 Intake**
HEY GUYS I REALLY COULDNT BELEIVE THIS WHEN I CHECKED IT ON THE WEBSITE TODAY BUT K&N ACTUALLY CAME OUT WITH AN INTAKE FOR OUR CARS. IF YOU DONT BELEIVE IT PLEASE LOOK FOR YOURSELF.
http://www.knfilters.com/search/prod...Prod=69-8611TS
I ALREADY ORDERED ONE WITH NEXT DAY AIR SHIPPING AND IT SHOULD HOPEFULLY BE HERE ON FRIDAY WILL INSTALL AND LET YOU GUYS KNOW HOW IT IS ASAP.
***FYI***
I WENT TO SPECTRE ON TEUSDAY MORNING AND TALKED TO SHAUN WHO WAS SUPPOSED TO DO THE INTAKE FOR ME THE V6 CAMRY AND AFTER DRIVING ALL TE WAY DOWN THERE HE MADE UP SOME BS EXCUSE THAT HE COULD NOT DO THE INTAKE BECAUSE THE POWER BRAKES ARE ATTACHED TO THE INTAKE SENSORS OR SOME BS LIKE THAT. BY THE WAY TOTALLY FALSE WHEN I GOT HOME AND RESEARCHED IT.
BUT ANYWAYS IM WAY TO EXCITED RIGHT NOW THAT THERE IS ACTUALLY AN INTAKE FOR OUR CARS PROVEN TO GIVE 11HP TO THE WHEELS.
LET ME KNOW WHAT YOU GUYS THINK

Buy a drop in filter and call it a day. Unless you have supporting mods that will actually take advantage of more airflow the real advantage is in the sound.
 11 HP.

They measure it using whp, your probably thinking of the power it makes at the flywheel.

increased air flow does increase HP .... however, that is all usually lost through the drivetrain so you see no difference at the wheels
but my SRI sure as hell does make my camry sound mean, so it was worth every penny (of my girlfriend's money ... b-day gifts ftw! )

I take it that you have not looked at a dynamometer graph before? The 192.47 is what horsepower the stock 07 Camry puts to the wheels at about 4800 rpms and then with the K&N intake installed, it put down 204.21. Then if you continue to look at the graph, you will notice that the 07 Camry redlined at around 6400rpm and put down stock 231whp and with the K&N intake installed, it put down 239whp. Those numbers are very accurate because if the factory states the crank horsepower numbers at 268, then you need to factory in around a 14% drive train loss to get accurate wheel horsepower. The reason why K&N uses a gain of 11.74whp to sell their product is because that is the most that was gained over the entire power band.
I am very excited to see this product available and please keep us informed as to how it fits and looks (please post pictures). Thanks.
-Ryan

Personally, I think someone should do an independent dyno of this product.

3 pulls on the dyno should be somewhere around $50-$75.

^^ Still looking for one . . . in the meantime I'll just mess with the Camry cuz I'm kinda curious as to its performance potential.

I'd be down for using our dyno to compare intake gains - personally I do not believe the K&N claims as other cars I've tested have never even come close to their advertised numbers. We're in SoCal if someone's interested in putting together the test, I have an OEM-quality dyno. Mustang brand, not Dynojet.
