Question Cabin Air Filter 2007 RAV

This may seem like a basic question, but I'd like to replace my cabin air filter. Where is it located on my 2007?

It should say in your owner's manual, but I would guess it's behind the glove box.

Yes indeed.
Remove everything from the lower glove box.
Unlatch the damper/spring on the left side.
The sides of the glove box can flex, so press the sides of the glove box together a bit to allow it to drop.
You should see the filter.

Just curious, anybody know what those filters run?? I just bought a new 08, and noticed that is had to be replaced on occasision. I live on a dirt road, so i am worried about having that as an addition cost to whatever other maintainence I am going to have to do. Thanks.

Don't remember exact cost. I bought one from my Toy dealer along with other items a year before replacing it cause I just happen to be at the dealer. I would say certainly not more than $20. But you can find them on line as an aftermarket item for a lot less.

Maybe you can use this as a guide:
I live and play in Queens and Long Island, NY.
Not particularly polluted or dusty, but a lot of trees.
I used the orig cabin filter for exactly 2 years (March 07 to March 09: 2 summers and 2 winters).
When I changed it a few weeks ago and it was major filthy.

The dealer told me it gets dirty fast, and now I believe him.
I may replace it every year from now on.
