How often does a 04 Precis need a tune-up.The dealer [King Toyota] here in South Florida says every 50K miles. Its my neighbors car and I think they are trying to get over on her.

Usually, 100,000 miles for most Toyota engines. Check your service schedule??

Its not my car its my neighbors cars.I guess they never checked the manual for service.

Looks like the dealer took advantage of her.Gee what a surprise that is.

Toyota service down here in the jungle is a total nightmare. My sister and some other people I know had to sell their Toyotas due to nightmare service. To make matters worse they didn't do the work that was paid for like changing the oil.I guess they didn't expect anyone to pull the hood and see if it was done when they got the car back from service..When the complaint was made to the dealer and Toyota Headquarters it fell on deaf ears.

Bottom line Toyota could not care less about its customers. At least not here in South Florida. All they want to do is take advantage of them.

I would really like to sell my 97 Crown Victoria with 300K miles on it and buy a Precis but I just do not want to deal with Toyota.

It's because you guys are under the "SE Distributor" which is different from Toyota Motor Sales (TMS) USA. There's also a Gulf distributor.

So really try the SE distributor headquarters first.
