engine light

Need some help! Lately my 2006 Prius has been running sluggish with the engine light on. Took it to the dealer who after having it for 8 hours said that the diag code pointed to #4 cylinder and could be caused by bad gas or water in the gas. They filled up the tank, took a few test drives and the light went out. Upon return, the light came back on and started running rough again. Their response was to charge us $742 and tell us to bring it back if it continued. Needless to say we didn't pay them since it wasn't fixed but were told that if it happened again it would cost even more.

My questions are these; 1)could a clogged or dirty fuel filter cause this and can it be easily changed, 2) will the water dissipate in time or will adding methl hydrate help in it's dispersal.

Any help from the Prius gurus will be greatly appreciated!
