Prius MPG

my 2009 Prius has 2000 miles and is getting about 40 mpg. Should the mpg improve soon?

Depends on your driving style, terrain and commute. I didn't get my 60mpg tank til the 3rd year!

Also check to make sure your tyre pressures are set correctly (I was running 38/36. The factory setting is 35/33 on the 15" tires).

thx for your response. I stopped by the dealership and was advised that at time of refilling the car, reset both the odometer and the fuel consumption screen. After doing that, we've noticed that we're now getting over 45 mpg.

Ohh... you were keeping a running total?? Sorry, didn't cross my mind because on the 04-05 models, the Consumption Screen automatically resets.
