XSE Wheels

I was wondering, can the 2019 Avalon XSE wheels on a normal Avalon be put on a 2019 Avalon Hybrid XSE?

I asked Toyota, and their generic answer was not to change anything ever!!! Not even the radio station. lol

I also asked my local Toyota dealer, and they didn't know for sure.

I heard something about the wheels on the Hybrid being designed to increase air flow to the breaks, and something about cooling and charging the batteries. Anyhow, I am not sure the design of the wheel itself would be an issue.

Anyone?

Basically, can I put the wheels in the photo on a 2019 Avalon Hybrid XSE?

I'm amazed no one has responded, but they're all probably laughing so hard at the dealership's response to your question that they're unable to type.
I've not seen nor read anywhere that the Hybrid wheels are special in an way, so would expect that wheels on all 2019 Toyota Avalons are interchangeable. The dealership parts counter, or TireRack, would know if there are any specific size differences (lug nut spacing, offset, etc.)

Hopefully someone who knows will reply soon. Only thing I can remember about hybrid specific wheels, is back on the older Prius. Their wheels are made out of magnesium I believe to lighten the weight of the wheel. Not sure about anything on the Avalon unfortunately.

Why wait for a response here? Phone a Toyota dealer parts counter. A good parts guy will know the answer. Tire Rack, ditto...phone them.

Thanks for the responses. I also think its absurd to think the wheels are special, outside of maybe the material for weight. I asked my local dealership, they didn't know. And you see what Toyota said. I guess I will try TireRack or someone like them.

Not really a laughable matter. Ignorance, I mean. Or, ability to make up complete baloney.
There are nothing special. Rotors do have vents in them to cool them faster but so do any other cars. Tires are advised to be low rolling resistance for better mpg, but that's it. Any vehicle will benefit form lighter alloy wheel.

As far as bolt pattern and offset match, fire away with whatever you please.

xse wheels

Not a bad idea actually. The 19s look nice. Random thoughts below:

It's my understanding that what matters mostly is wheel weight and road resistance from larger tire surface...
the 19s have more metal and are probably heavier. So they would probably affect your mpgs about -10% - 4-5 mpgs.
Also probably slightly slower off the line.
you might feel a slight diff in ride quality as well.

Assuming fitment is not a problem, those should be the only issues that I can think of...

Personally I like the darker rims on the xse hybrid. Dark rim hides brake dust and dirt.

Also, Toyota will probably rip your head off on pricing for the reg XSE rims. I tried to buy black Lexus crafted line rims for my old ES350 and it was like $4k...
