Transmission 2014 highlander

Hi All, I purchased a used 2014 highlander last march. at 106000 it seems that the transmission has blown, toyota is not willing to do anything to help. It seems as if others have had this problem just out of warranty as well. Current estimates are $8000 for a reman. Lots of metal shavings were in the fluid. Anyone else struggles with this? Trying to build a case for Toyota to get some coverage.

This is hybrid forum. I have never heard of "blown" hybrid transmission.
Do you actually have a hybrid vehicle?
