Unhappy Prius fog lights switch on older Celica - wiring issues

Hey there,

I think my thread is most appropriate in this category.

I was given for free a (2006-ish I think) front fog light switch from a Prius.
Currently I have installed fog lights on my 1989 Celica (ST162) and i just have this universal ugly switch that is lit while "ON" (3 pin switch).

--> I would like to put instead the Prius switch that has a background illumination (to be seen during the night) and that has a light indicator when ON.

Only thread I could find about this is in Russian and wasn't clear enough for me :
https://www.drive2.ru/l/2305425/

I'm struggling in the process of connecting the wires... didn't find any other relevant threads for my issue.

See pics below - I put some numbers to make it more clear with the wiring.

Any help would be appreciated, especially if some of you are familiar with this switch.

EDIT: This switch seems electronic and linked to the ECU? (same position for ON-OFF, no "clic" with 2 different positions?) A mechanical switch would be the only option? Switch number is Toyota 156753.

1989 JDM Celica, pretty much stock: All bulbs are LEDs, yellow Marchal fog lights.

From what I gathered until now:

1- (+) goes to the relay
2- some permanent/after contact (+)
3- ?
4- ?
5- ?
6- Ground
7- Ground for the illumination
8- (+) for the illumination (comes for another illumniated switch)

Have you... looked at a wiring diagram? That will tell you all the answers.

OK, one on the left says it's fogs switch, one on the right says it's fogs switch combined, whatever that might be. From that on, you have numbering and colors on that Russian schematic.

Where those switches mate is called Central Mounting Block. Just below the R switch highlight.
