Transmission a140e swap

My car 1989 camry le just lost reverse, I assume clutch burned from low fluid bc found fluid level low. Toyota put this a140e in quite a few cars. Which ones are compatible with my 1989 le with the electronic shift? I would like to know the latest models which will have lowest mileage to swap the transmissions. Appreciate the knowledge.

1987-1991 is the only direct swap that I know of, FYI 05/1990+ has a revised unit for better efficiency. 1992-1993 Camry A140E is very similar it might work but can't confirm, anything after 1993 does not have the speed sensor on the torque converter which the computer in your car needs.

A yard dealing with used transmissions said the 1991 will not swap in bc of change in torque converter. If 1991 fits that's the one I'd prefer to shop if its improved.
