Blowing white smoke again

I'm sorry if there is a thread on this but I looked and couldn't find anything. I have a99 Camry 2.2L automatic. I just got done replacing the head gasket my daughter blew while I was in the hospital. She insists she did nothing to it that it wasn't running hot or anything. Anyhow so I got it back to running (valves are a little noisy) and I went to drive it and it was doing good and out of no where. It started spewing white smoke out the exhaust again, it had cleared but at the same time it did that the check engine light came on. So is it possible that it blew another head gasket or what. I did have the head pressure tested and surfaced at a reputable machine shop so that was all good and it didn't get past halfway on the temperature. I'm at a loss here, any help would be greatly appreciated.

Was the condition of the block checked (rare but happens). Also were the head bolts replaced with new ones? They have a tendency to stretch. Any stored codes after the CEL came on?

The head bolts on these have a bit unusual torque requirement. First, torque to 36 ft-lbs. Then tighten them another 90° of rotation. Did you do that?

Yes I replaced the head bolts I read they were torque to yeild so I replaced them and I went 36 ft lbs. And another 1/4 turn like it says.Ok so here is the thing I went over to my mom's where there car is and started it up and not one bit of smoke at all and when I shut it off the other night it was blowing white smoke like a chimney but now nothing. It had cleared up and then started smoking again and now it's clear again is this common after doing a head gasket on these????? Thanks for your help it's greatly appreciated

Now you get to run a compression test. Lucky you. That is where I would start since it is fairly easy to do. That should tell you if you have head or block problems.

+1 to that. He had the head professionally inspected, so that’s not the prob unless they overlooked something. So that leaves a cracked block. Pretty darn rare to happen on these, but can’t be ruled out.

Any sign of coolant or oil seepage around the head gasket area externally? Oil or coolant consumption?

Hopefully it's just leftover antifreeze from the big job you did. Drive it for a week and keep an eye on your coolant level.

I drove it last night again and it seems to only blow smoke now when under heavy acceleration, for the most part it has stopped. Really weird situation.i am hoping now that the smoke that is coming out is left over from the job. And as far as the block goes it is running too smooth to be a cracked block, I would think it would at the very least have a small misfire if not a bigger one. I have to get it registered first before I go drive it to much but I'm thinking to take and run it up and down the freeway(doing the speed limit of course) and blow the junk out of it and go from there. I will let you know what happens after I do that in a couple of days. Once again thank you very much.
