2019 SE Rear View Mirror with Homelink Mod

Hello,

I just purchased a 2019 Camry SE, it does not have the Auto Dimming Rear View Mirror with Homelink so i need to add it. The original mirror is not auto dimming so there is no wiring running to the original mirror.

At this time i have not tried taking anything apart, There could be a connection behind the bulky cover for the front camera?

I wanted to get feedback from anyone that may have experienced a need for this modification and anyone that has completed it.

I need to purchase the mirror, i believe Gentex is the correct company?

Thanks,

Mark

Check a wiring diagram or you can pry off some plastic trim and hope there it is pre-wired.

I took the enclosure apart and found a 12 pin plug, i think its being used by Lane Departure Alert with Steering Assist.

One more plug runs along the top of Steering Assist Module.

How can i use this with the 10 pin that goes in back of mirror?

You would have to look at a wiring diagram to determine a lot of that.
