fuel cut off valve

Can anyone help me with something? I had to drop my gas tank and replace due to rust on a 2003 matrix xrs.
The rubber gasket on the fuel cit off valve was also rusted away and needs replaced. The fuel cutoff valve has a seal with a metal ring in the middle of it. this metal ring has little tabs that hold it tightly in the tank. These are what rusted away.

the cutoff valve part number is 77390-12030

https://www.toyotapartsdeal.com/oem/...390-12030.html

since i cannot find a real picture of it does anyone know if it comes with that gasket with the steel tabs?

The only reason I am confused is that the toyota parts guy couldn't figure it out by the pix at the parts department.

and there is also a seal part number listed but looking at it on ebay it doesn't have the steel ring with the tabs on it.

Any help would be appreciated.

here is the part that the toyota diagram lists as a seal for the check valve.

Here are a couple of photos of the fuel tank inlet valve assembly:

I think the bendable tabs are on this check valve protector, so I think this is one of the parts you need:

https://www.toyotapartsdeal.com/oem/...nk-tube,,77393

The tabs lock into the slots on the plate that is on top of the tank (below the check valve). Is that plate rusted out? I think it is part of the fuel tank. Perhaps it can be removed from one at a junkyard and installed on your tank. Not sure, but I don't think Toyota sells that plate individually.

Here is a video which shows the replacement of the check valve and it shows the parts I'm talking about, but without rust:

yes the part that is rusted out is the part that locks in to the tabs. I think the part number you sent me looks like the metal dome that sits over the top of the cut off valve on top of the tank. For the life of my i cannot find the part number for the rubber gasket with the metal ring in the middle with tabs on it. That exact cut off valve is sitting on my desk right next to my computer. Except it has the rubber gasket on it under the flange and above the holes in the cylinder.

So you mean the tabs are on the plate on top of the tank, not on the check valve protector (the dome cap)? If so, I'm not sure that part is sold individually. Do you see if it can be removed, or is it part of or spot welded to the tank?

see the rusted ring inside the gasket? the tabs are rusted away. That gasket slides up on the cut off valve and has tabs on it. these tabs on the rusted ring slide into the part that you are talking about spot welded on to the tank

in that video at exactly 4 minutes you can see him wiggling the check valve out. Instead of him dropping the tank and turning the check valve counter clockwaise and removing the gasket with the tabs he is simply prying the check valve out of the rubber gasket and leaving the gasket sitting in the tank. The gasket fits so tight that it holds the check valve in place.

Oh, I see. Are you talking about that part in the video from 4:47 - 4:53 ? I think that's the part with the tabs, right?
