Steering Column Rattle Noise - 09 Venza

Hi

My Venza got the steering column rattle noise as described here :

http://www.myvenza.ru/tsb/T-SB-0005-11.pdf

Old part number was (Mechanical Key)

45250-0T060

New part number is :

45250-0T062

I bought a used steering column from a newer Venza from 2012 which has part number :

45250-0T100

The dealer refuse to replace, I know, they don't want to be responsible of any further damage, if it is not compatible.

Does anybody know here if the new part is compatible ?

Thank You

09 Venza

Steering column

It must be replaced with a new column.

The steering column in my 2009 v6 ltd also made noise. It is very annoying. I can hear the noise and feel the knocking whenever I shake the steering wheel.

I injected chain lube inside the steering shaft, greased the steering rack but they both won't help.
I ended up doing this mod last summer and it works great. It is a temporary fix but doesn't cost anything.

epr188gc8 - I have had my 2009 Venza for about 3 weeks and the noise from this steering gear mess is making me hate my car. I would try anything to cure this, but $1700.00 fix is out of my financial range. Could you please put together a more detailed post of how you did this, what parts needed, etc? I am sure that dozens of Venza owners would be so thankful for some help! If I had know of this problem, I would not be a Venza owner right now, but I am unfortunately stuck. Thanking you in adance, Dan!

Erick, I checked Amazon, Ebay, and a Toyota dealer and all three said that 45250-0T100 is NOT compatible with the 2009 Venza. I wasn't able to find exactly what this part fits, but I hope this saves you some time.
Regards, Dan

Did you ever get a more detailed instructions or figure this out? The pictures are helpful but the translation of the site are hard to understand. I have the same problem. Any help would be welcomed.
