Question Break lights wont work(1994 GT)

When i got the car it had these stupid looking LED strips on the tail lights so i removed them and threw them away later on i found out i have no break lights and im thinking the LED strips were my break lights. So i was wondering if anyone would know what wire i would have to fix or where it would be located. I was also wondering if anyone can tell me how to check my break light switch because thats the only thing i haven't really got to look at because i have no clue about it works. Please help!

If your LED brake lights worked when you got the car, then your brake light switch must work. Wouldn't you agree?

Do your running lights (the low watt filament of your dual-filament bulbs) work properly?

Sometimes, when LED's are installed, there is a converter also installed to get the voltage up to the level necessary to operate the LEDs. Perhaps that converter is still installed yet. If so, you will need to find it.
