Thread moved to the Fuel Economy forum where these injector cleaner threads reside. To that end, the OP should review the other threads in this forum that discuss injector cleaners at length in a number of other threads.

Using Top-Tier gasoline eliminates the need for injector cleaners.

I use Chevron Techron when Top-Tier gas isn't available. Available at Costco by the case for cheap!

Chevron Techron Concentrate Plus Fuel cleaner worked for me

Drive a 1997 Camry 2.2L with 117,000. Lots of DIY work over the years. Runs like a top.

I have never used any injector or fuel system cleaner but just did a bottle of Chevron Techron Concentrate Plus Fuel System Cleaner for the first time ever. Amazon now on sale for 7 bucks. (Have also recently redone spark plugs, air filter, idle air control valve, PCV valve, etc. etc. and just wanted to give this a shot while I was at it.)

My Camry picked up an extra 2 MPG on the 450 mile highway trip with that bottle in the tank, and even idles a bit more smoothly since. Normally picks up 31 MPG on all-highway trips and that first trip logged in at 33 MPG; only difference was the cleaner.

The $ result? Essentially one gallon for free on that 15-gallon tank, a California savings of about $4, and the savings continue, as since then I have still noticed about a 10% uptick in MPG even in around town driving, too.

You be the judge; Your Mileage May Vary. But might be worth a shot.

1997 Camry 2.2L AT - a blessing from the Lord, a simple joy to work on, and at 117K (as of June 2019) she's just barely getting broken in

TopTier does NOT eliminate the need for FI cleaners.... it reduces the need.

Toptier fuel has 2x-3x dosage when compare to EPA standards.

Shell uses 7x the dosage in their premium fuel, which might be a good substitute a couple times a year without having to shop for PEA based cleaners.

I run top tier gas exclusively and a bottle of either redline s1 or Amsoil PI every 4000 miles or so. I have never had the first fuel system issue.

I use Gunk Fuel Injector & Carburetor Cleaner (12 oz.). I found them on Autobarn.com for only $2.79 each so I bought six of them. It contains Polytheramine as the cleaning agent.

I agree with Herb222 and use BG44K. It's expensive but I believe well worth it. Best deals I found are on eBay.

Guaranteed To Pass. Ran it though an old Altima with over 100,00 miles couple times, then had to pull the head off for other work and the injectors looked like they were brand new. First hand observation.
