Unhappy 03' Echo Clutch cable help

Hey guys,

Could really use a hand here
I'm trying to do the clutch on my echo, HOWEVER i cant get these clips off the cables for the life of me. any suggestions?
I cant find anyone documenting the process on an echo at all.

They just slide off, like e-clips.

It's hard to explain, but basically, you need to pull them straight up, away from the cable. You can get a pair of pliers on the lip of the clip and give it a side-to-side wiggle as you pull, they'll pop right off.

They're only held in place with Friction.

The clips ended up spinning to one end and pulling right out! 😂
I was able to get the trans dropped shorty after, thanks!

I think they are shifter cables, my clutch is hydraulic.
