Fortuner and mushy ride.

Hi folks,

I know this may not be the correct forum, but there is not one listed for my model (yes I know it is built on the Hilux frame), but was hoping that the 4runner and Fortuner both being SUV style, someone may have some insight. My vehicle is a 2014 diesel automatic, it's a great vehicle but I find that the ride is a bit "mushy" with lots of body roll, my previous Hilux was not like this. Shocks and springs are good, put different tires on in case it was them causing the issue. So now my question, are the 4runners the same? Anyone try different suspension components, TRD? Any other suggestions?

Thanks

I had driven hilux quite a bit in the past and was interested in a 4 runner so did a short test drive in the limited and found it nose dived under braking quite alarmingly , was told that the SR5 was similar, so test drove a TRD off road with kdss and that felt like the hilux I remember, but I reconsidered the 4 runner as I couldn't justify the 4x4 truck for my needs and went highlander. I suspect the fortuner is tuned for comfort as opposed to load capacity with the hilux.
