2016 Key fob question

Bought a 2016 Sienna disability equipped, great ride. The Key fob works great when I have on a light material pair of pants . When I have my Levis on the car will not sense the fob and will not start ? If I take it out of my pocket it will work ? Are the batteries getting weak ? should I change them ? ?

Even if you move your body right up to the car? Interesting.... I don't see how a denser weave heavy grade cotton would impede an RF signal THAT much. These are Toyota brand silver rectangular fobs for the push button start system, or an aftermarket unit? Both fobs work the same odd way?

I'd change the battery (In both fobs).
They use up coin battery much more than non-pushbutton systems.

Easy job, and Cheap.

Always check the easy problems/solutions first.
